I have been in the health and care sector for over thirty years.  My journey to aromatherapy happened to be a natural path, during my work at nursing homes I found that massage could bring comfort and pain relief to the residents that I cared for.  After having seen the benefits and wishing to better my knowledge, I attended a course on aromatherapy.  This allowed me to enhance what I was doing through the use of oils.  Wishing to learn more I took a full qualification in aromatherapy in 1995 and started my own business.  As well as practising for private clients, I still regularly provide treatments to nursing home residents.

In 2002 when the La Stone treatment first came to the UK, I wanted to learn more so I obtained an NVQ in this interesting therapy.  I then started offering La Stone treatments and found that the stones gave deeper warmth and relaxation.  My clients seem to agree as my stone treatments are amongst my most popular treatments.

I believe that we are what we give and we are what we eat so I periodically put my body through a detox cycle  Realising the benefits first hand, I took the plunge and did a course on detox therapy.  I learnt many ways to help the body release toxins both through diet and through some of the treatments that I now offer.

Following this I had a bit of a set back by getting breast cancer.  Although this was a difficult time in my life, I recognised that it was an experience I could learn through.  This lead me to do a diploma in cancer and aromatherapy. This qualification combined with my own experience has been invaluable over the past few years in helping many clients undergoing treatment for cancer themselves.

I have since taken further qualifications in pregnancy massage, inspired by close family members being pregnant.  This allowed me to massage them in a way that meets the unique needs that a pregnant woman has.
